City of Calabasas Wildfire Resiliency Home Hardening Incentive Grant Program

The City of Calabasas has established a program to provide financial assistance to qualified residential property owners.

  • The Residential Applicant must complete the online application (see button below) and supply all the necessary support information. Based on the information provided by the Resident, the City of Calabasas will determine if the Resident Applicant qualifies to receive funding through the Program.
  • The City of Calabasas has agreed to provide qualified Residential Applicants with a capital assistance grant of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to reimburse the Residential Applicant for home hardening products or services at a Residential Property within the City of Calabasas limits, subject to and in accordance with the conditions and covenants in the Home Hardening Wildfire Resiliency Incentive Grant Program Agreement.
  • This is a reimbursable grant requiring the Residential Applicant to submit documentation showing proof of residency, proof of payment for work performed, including pictures or a possible follow-up site visit.
  • The Resident will be required to sign an agreement with the City of Calabasas and adhere to all the rules and regulations of the grant program.

To apply for the Home Hardening Incentive Grant Program, residents need to follow three easy steps.

  1. Get a Free Home Ignition Zone Evaluation (HIZE) report
  2. Make eligible home hardening mitigation remedies to the home based on the recommendations detailed in the HIZE report
  3. Submit application and support documentation, and photos
